Cast Acrylic is 10x stronger than glass and is visually clearer, can be heat formed, drilled, saw cut and manufactured with many standard tools. Acrylic is produced either as Cast or Extruded. Cast acrylic is considered superior due to its higher melting point which doesn't gum up during manufacturing. It also produces more desirable results with laser cutting/engraving, and is more scratch resistant than extruded.
